Sunrise, Sherpa Culture & Panoramic Himalayan Views

The Pikey Peak Trek is a 9-day Himalayan adventure through the quieter trails of Nepal’s Lower Everest region. Reaching 4,065 meters, the trek offers a beautiful combination of panoramic Himalayan views, peaceful Sherpa villages, Buddhist monasteries, forests, and traditional mountain landscapes. The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhap, followed by trekking through Jhapre and Pikey Peak Base Camp.

The major highlight is the early-morning climb to Pikey Peak, where trekkers can experience a spectacular Himalayan sunrise and wide mountain panoramas in clear weather. After the summit, the trail descends toward Junbesi, allowing time to explore the traditional Sherpa village and visit Thupten Chholing Monastery, before continuing to Phaplu and returning to Kathmandu.

With a moderate trekking grade, tea-house accommodation, full-board meals during the trek, an experienced trekking guide, porters, transportation, and required permits included, the Pikey Peak Trek is a rewarding way to experience the Everest region while exploring a quieter and culturally rich Himalayan trail.
