Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

• 

  Day: 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.
  • The rest of the day is free to explore the vibrant city, visit temples like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) or Boudhanath Stupa, and stock up on any last-minute supplies for the trek.

  Day: 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1550m/5085ft) to Khangjim (7,546 ft / 2,300 m) - 7-8 hours

  • The adventure begins with a scenic drive along the Trishuli River Valley.
  • You’ll pass through villages, terraced fields, and lush forests, enjoying glimpses of the Himalayas in the distance.
  • Khangjim is the gateway to the Langtang Valley Trek and serves as our base for the night.

  Day: 3 Khangjim to Lama Hotel (8,100 ft / 2,470 m) - 6-7 hours

  • Trek from Khangjin to Lama Hotel – approximately 6-7 hours.
  • The trail ascends through a lovely rhododendron forest, offering beautiful springtime blooms.
  • We’ll stop at interesting villages like Sherpagaon and Bamboo witnessing the traditional way of life.
  • Lama Hotel is a small settlement nestled amidst serene surroundings, where we’ll spend the night.

  Day: 4 Lama Hotel to Thangsyap (10,695 ft / 3,260 m) - 5-6 hours

  • Trek from Lama Hotel to Thangsyap.
  • Overnight stay in Thangsyap.

• 

  Day: 5 Thangsyap to Langtang (11,155 ft / 3,400 m) - 4-5 hours

  • Trek from Thangsyap to Langtang village – approximately 4-5 hours.
  • Overnight stay in Langtang Village.

  Day: 6 Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa (12,631 ft / 3,850 m) - 3-4 hours

  • Trek from Langtang to Kyanjin Gompa – approximately 3-4 hours.
  • Today is crucial for acclimatization to the higher altitude.
  • You can choose from various options:
    • Hike up to Kyanjin Ri (4984m/16381ft) for breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding peaks.
    • Explore the nearby cheese factory, a unique sight in the Himalayas.
    • Visit the famous gompas (monasteries) of Kyanjin Gompa and Ya Tsun Gompa, experiencing Tibetan Buddhist culture.
    • Take a leisurely yak ride around the serene surroundings.

  Day: 7 Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2470m/7808ft) - 6-7 hours

  • Trek back from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel – approximately 6-7 hours.
  • We retrace our steps back down the valley, enjoying the familiar landscapes from a different perspective.
  • This section is a comfortable descent, allowing us to appreciate the beauty of the Langtang Valley.
  • Overnight stay at Lama Hotel.

  Day: 8 Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1550m/5085ft) - 6 hours & Drive back to Kathmandu

  • Our final day on the trek takes us back to Syabrubesi.
  • The trail descends through rhododendron forests and villages, offering a chance to reflect on the amazing experiences of the past week.
  • Upon reaching Syabrubesi, we’ll board a jeep for the scenic drive back to Kathmandu, where the trip concludes.
  • Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel or airport for departure.
