Description

Next, we venture to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area around Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and encompasses a large garden and numerous temples, monasteries, and monuments dedicated to Lord Buddha. The centerpiece of Lumbini is the Maya Devi Temple, which marks the exact spot where Queen Maya Devi is believed to have given birth to Siddhartha Gautama, who later became Buddha.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

  • Day : 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

    On your arrival, our guide will transfer you to the hotel. Freshen up, check-in, and attend the trip briefing. Explore Kathmandu.

     

  • Day : 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing and Fly to Lumbini

    • Visit Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa.
    • Take an early morning flight or a comfortable tourist bus ride from Kathmandu to Lumbini. The flight takes around 45 minutes, while the bus journey takes approximately 7-8 hours, offering scenic views of the countryside.
    • Check into your hotel in Lumbini and freshen up.

  • Day : 3 Explore Lumbini

    • Visit the Maya Devi Temple, the most sacred site in Lumbini, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The temple houses a sacred pool (Puskarni) where Queen Maya Devi is said to have bathed before giving birth.
    • Explore the Lumbini Sacred Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, encompassing the Maya Devi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar, and the sacred Bodhi tree.
    • Overnight stay in Lumbini

  • Day : 4 Lumbini to Kathmandu

    • Drive to Bhairahawa, and fly to Kathmandu.
    • Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

  • Day : 5 Departure from Kathmandu

    On your departure day, our reliable car service will ensure a smooth transfer from your hotel to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
