    Trip Overview

The Tilicho Lake Trek is one of the most scenic and adventurous journeys in the Annapurna region, leading you to the world’s highest glacial lake at 4,919 meters. Set against the backdrop of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak, the lake glows in turquoise blue, surrounded by dramatic snow-clad mountains.

The trek begins with a drive through lush hills and riverside villages before entering the Annapurna trails. Passing through Chame, Pisang, and Manang, you’ll witness a beautiful mix of landscapes – from green forests and waterfalls to dry, windswept valleys. Manang is a cultural highlight, where Tibetan-influenced traditions and monasteries give a glimpse into mountain life while offering a perfect place for acclimatization.

From there, the route to Tilicho Lake becomes more remote and adventurous, crossing narrow trails carved into cliffs and rocky terrain. The reward is reaching the serene shores of the lake, considered both a natural wonder and a sacred pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. Trekkers seeking further challenge can continue towards Thorong La Pass (5,416m) and descend to Muktinath, adding even more cultural and scenic highlights to the journey.

Blending Himalayan landscapes, cultural encounters, and high-altitude adventure, the Tilicho Lake Trek is perfect for trekkers who want to go beyond the classic Annapurna Circuit and experience one of Nepal’s most breathtaking hidden gems.
