Mount Kailash, located in Tibet, is one of the most sacred and spiritually powerful places on Earth. It holds deep significance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and followers of Bon, each of whom regard it as a holy center of faith and enlightenment.

For Hindus, it is believed to be the divine abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Every year, only a limited number of pilgrims are able to visit this sacred mountain, making the journey even more special and meaningful.

Walking the Kailash Parikrama (Kora) around the mountain is considered a path toward spiritual liberation, helping one move beyond the cycle of life and rebirth. Similarly, taking a holy dip in Lake Mansarovar—believed to be created by Lord Brahma and blessed by Lord Shiva—is said to cleanse sins and purify the soul.

For centuries, pilgrims have shared deeply personal and transformative experiences from this journey. Regardless of faith, Mount Kailash is seen as a place where nature and spirituality meet, offering a rare opportunity to feel closer to the divine.

Itinerary

Day: 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu.
Meet and greet with our representative and transfer to your hotel.
Complete a briefing about the Yatra and a final check of all necessary documents.
Evening free for rest or last-minute preparations.
Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day: 2

Visa preparation / Kathmandu tour

Breakfast at the Hotel
Pashupatinath Temple: Visit Nepal’s most sacred Hindu shrine on the banks of the Bagmati River.
Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple): Explore this ancient religious complex perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley.
Budhanilkantha Temple (Jal Narayan): Observe the impressive “Sleeping Vishnu” statue reclining in a sacred water pond.
Boudhanath Stupa: Walk around one of the largest spherical stupas in the world, a centerpiece of Tibetan Buddhism.
Overnight: Stay at your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day: 3

Kathmandu to Syabrubesi/Ghattekhola (2000m / 159 km / 6–7 hrs)

Early morning with packed breakfast drive to
Syabrubesi/Ghattekhola which is small Village near the China/Tibet
Border. We will have lunch break on the way. Overnight at Guest House.

Day: 4

Ghattekhola to Kyirung (2900m / 25 km)

After the breakfast
complete the departure immigration of Nepal side and transfer to the
RasuwaGadi Border (Nepal-China border) about 15 minute. Complete
the immigration formalities and check into the China/Tibet side. On
arrival at Chinese side, welcome by our Chinese/Tibetan representative
and drive to Kyirong for about an hour. Overnight at Hotel.

Day: 5

Kyirong to Saga (4500m / 185 km)

After the breakfast drive to Saga
for about 05 hrs. After crossing the Kyirong city you can see the
beautiful waterfall where we stop for photography. This day we have
to cross 2-3 high passes including 5200m pass. Before reaching the Saga
we stop for Lunch and continue drive to Saga. Saga city is situated bank
of the holy River BHRMAPUTRA. The road came from the Lhasa also
join here. Overnight at Hotel.

Day: 6

Mansarovar to Darchen (4620m / 40 km)

Early morning departure after a light breakfast for the long drive towards Mansarovar–Chui Gompa.
Begin the journey as early as possible due to the long travel distance.
En route, stop for lunch before continuing the drive towards Lake Mansarovar.
Upon reaching the Mansarovar checkpoint, change to an environmental bus.
Start the Lake Mansarovar Parikrama (102 km / approx. 2 hrs).
Stop at designated points for photography during the parikrama.
En route, witness the sacred Rakshasa Tal (Demon Lake).
Enjoy breathtaking views of the south face of Mount Kailash from Lake Mansarovar.
After completion of the parikrama, continue to Chui Gompa.
Overnight stay at a guest house.

Day: 7

Drive to Darchen, Prepare for Kora

In the morning, take a holy bath in Lake Mansarovar and perform Puja & Havan.
After lunch, drive to Darchen (approx. 1 hour).
Darchen is the base camp of Mount Kailash.
You can purchase walking sticks and other essential trekking essentials in Darchen.
Enjoy a close view of Mount Kailash south face and part of Nandi Parvat.
Our Sherpa staff will check your health and physical condition before the next phase of the journey.
Optional visit to Asthpath (Nandi Parvat) is available at an extra cost.

Day: 8

Buddhistic stupas and holy Mount Kailash in Tibet

Darchen to diraphuk (4860m)

After breakfast with a light packed lunch, drive to Yamadwar (approx. 8 km).
From Yamadwar, start the trek to Diraphuk (5–6 hours).
This marks the first day of the Kailash Parikrama (Kora).
Participants who have booked horses can begin the parikrama on horseback, while others continue on foot.
Yaks will carry kitchen supplies and equipment during the trek.
Diraphuk offers the closest and best view of Mount Kailash.
Enjoy a stunning close view of the north face of Kailash.
Those physically fit may have the opportunity to do Kailash Charan Sparsha.
Overnight stay at a guest house in Diraphuk.

Day: 9

Diraphuk–Zuthulphuk (4790m / 22 km / 9–10 hrs)

Early morning, have a light breakfast at the guest house with a packed lunch.
Start the trek towards Dolma-La Pass (5630m) as early as possible due to unpredictable weather and long trekking hours.
Continue the challenging ascent through high-altitude terrain.
On the way, witness the sacred Gaurikund Lake while crossing Dolma-La Pass.
After crossing the pass, descend towards Zuthulphuk.
Overnight stay at Zuthulphuk.

Day: 10

Zuthulphuk–Mansarovar–Saga (8 km trek / 520 km drive)

Wake up early in the morning and start the trek down to Darchen (approx. 3 hours).
After reaching Darchen, have breakfast.
Begin the return journey towards Kathmandu via the same route.
Continue long drive towards Saga.
Overnight stay in Saga.

Day: 11

Saga–Kyirong (185 km)

After breakfast, drive back to Kyirong (approx. 4–5 hours).
This is the last night stay on the Tibet side of the journey.
Rest of the time is free for shopping around Kyirong city.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day: 12

Kyirung–Kathmandu (180 km)

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Rasuwa Gadi.
Complete immigration formalities on both the Chinese and Nepal sides.
Have lunch en route.
Continue the drive towards Kathmandu.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day: 13

Final day and departure

Last day of the tour.
Transfer to the airport to connect your flight for onward journey.

Required Document:

1: Passport scan copy at least 25 Days before of travel Date
2: Original Passport at least two weeks before of travel date to drop the Delhi our agent
3: Passport size photo white background at least 6-month-old

Thermal flask, Sunglasses, Sun Cream, Torch Light with extra batteries, Mask, Paper Soap, Toilet
paper, chocolates, dry fruits, Glucose, Walking stick, Your own regular medicine etc.

Any extra cost incurred if the Yatri separates himself/herself from the group for any unforeseen reason from the point of separation from the group.
Any unexpected expenses incurred due to natural disasters/bad weather/political reason (Hotel, food, flight, transport etc.).
Extra accommodation cost in Nepal side (apart from mentioned night) if earlier return from Tibet (any causes).
Visa Split cost, transportation & Hotel charge those who return earlier from Tibet by any causes.
